What is Colour Therapy?

Colour Therapy is a complementary therapy, which uses the healing energy of colour and light to remove energy blockages, which are the underlying causes of pain, illness and disease. It works to stimulate the body’s own healing process, and restore balance to the body, mind and spirit. Colour Therapy is self-selective soul therapy, which goes to the heart of any issue. In doing so it helps you to develop greater self-awareness, recognise your inner beauty and unique gifts, and to fulfil your potential. It empowers you to take responsibility for your own well-being. When colour enters our brain it stimulates the pituitary and the pineal glands, which then release hormonal substances which affect our body.

There is a harmony set up between the body and colour. You may find that in using a colour for one condition will create balance in other parts of the body also because they fall under the same vibrational frequency. We need a balance of all the colours in order to maintain health at all levels; physical, emotional and mental.

The healing power of colour ?

Colour is a powerful tool, which acts on our bodies, minds and emotions, triggering deep and subtle responses on a subconscious level. Jan's cushions and scarves are based on the colours of the chakras, using many variations of hues and tones in the dyes Jan chooses. The beneficial energy of each colour is absorbed to provide a form of self -healing, as you enjoy the pure radiance of each colour interacting with the sheen of pure silk. Enhance your own vibrations by surrounding yourself with your own personal healing colour rays chosen for you using intuition and artistic skill. Colour can heal. We are energy, we are colour. When we are out of balance, there can be too much or too little of a colour in us, and this in time will manifest itself as a disease. A spine chart diagnosis for a total health colour analysis will give a very clear indication of the colour energies in the body. By introducing a specific colour as vibrational energy, we can harmonise disorders within the body and improve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. During the session, the required colours in food, in clothes and in the environment are discussed.

What does colour do ?

Colour opens up the mind and brings up harmonising thoughts, which are the first steps to healing. It has a profound effect on physical, mental and emotional well-being. It keeps body, mind, and spirit healthy and in harmony. It helps achieve healthier eating habits and even possibly control weight. It increases awareness and opens up intuition. Colour therapy treats; emotional imbalances, insomnia, anxiety, chronic fatigue, depression, stress, confusion, low vitality, hyperventilation, eczema, psoriasis, the side effects of chemotherapy and menopausal problems.

Our main goal

In the practice the main goals are to help the patient find an inner harmony and discover his or her real purpose in life.  To bring healing and harmony in body and mind. To eliminate stress, negative thoughts and feelings, go to the core of emotional pain and suffering and to turn blocked energy into positive vibrations.

yingyang.gif The symptoms of illness and disease are a sign that there is a shortage or imbalance of colour and light in the cells and organs of the human body. Pain develops to let us know that we need to make changes in our life.
yingyang.gif Unless the emotional, psychological or spiritual sources of these illnesses or diseases are addressed, healing seldom takes place and the symptoms often reoccur.
yingyang.gif Many recent scientific studies have proved the effects of visible coloured rays on us, and that colour therapy works, but as yet they are still unable to say why.
yingyang.gif Colour Therapy is not new. It is a healing art, which was practiced by the ancient civilisations.
yingyang.gif The Egyptians as one example, built many of their great temples with healing rooms tuned to a particular colour frequency from the spectrum of refracted sunlight. Anyone needing healing would be placed in the appropriate coloured healing room.
yingyang.gif Colour Therapy treatments can also speed up recovery after an illness or an operation, as well as be preventative, so we do not have to be ill to benefit from it.
yingyang.gif Many complementary therapists successfully combine colour with other therapies such Aromatherapy, Reiki, Massage, Reflexology, Yoga & Crystals.
